Design
The 2019 BMW i8 comes in a Coupe and all-new Roadster model which feature beautiful modern color schemes including E-Copper with Frozen Grey accent, Crystal White Pearl Metallic with BMW i Frozen Blue accent, and Donington Grey. Its futuristic silhouette was created to be flawlessly aerodynamic to maximize both style and performance. Icon Adaptive LED Headlights with Laserlight maximize visibility in dark driving conditions.
Scissor doors open to a leather interior with Carbon Fiber Trim. A responsive 8.8” touchscreen includes BMW Navigation which is configured to respond to natural language to help you access your maps and infotainment with ease.
Performance
Able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds with 369 horsepower, this hybrid is a beast. An electric motor up front coupled with the TwinPower Turbo gas engine positioned in the back provides a 50-50 weight distribution. Made from a lightweight material called Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic, nothing holds the i8 back from achieving maximum performance.
Four driving modes include COMFORT, SPORT, ECO PRO, and eDRIVE which is purely electric. The i8 can reach up to 75 mph in eDRIVE mode so you can enjoy an emission-free ride. When it’s time to recharge, there are over 44,000 public charging stations available to you, and it takes as little as three hours for a complete charge.
